Dear friends,
it is my pleasure to announce that we have received 74 applications for 61st Kocian Violin Competition. Together with 25 contestants from Czech Republic, we have students from 20 more countries coming to compete: Poland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Mongolia, South Korea and USA. Who will become the winner of 61st Kocian Violin Competition?
I am looking forward to meet all of you and I believe that many of you will join the competition orchestra again. For the teachers we have prepared the Masterclass, this time with Dr. Conrad Chow, who is the teacher of last year’s laureate. If you are unable to listen to the competition in the concert hall of our music school you can follow us online and watch the live streaming on our website. And of course, the children jury will also be present.
We are doing everything we can to ensure that all of you are going to bring amazing memories back home, and that you will enjoy your stay in Usti nad Orlici a much as possible.
