Dear friends,
I am pleased to announce that we have received 65 applications for 62nd Kocian Violin Competition. Twenty five Czech violinists shall compare their skills with competitors from fifteen other countries all over the world.
Kocian Violin Competition is a competition that goes beyond limits. The competition itself and the name of Jaroslav Kocian are recognized in the whole world. This year we will welcome in the hometown of Jaroslav Kocian contestants from Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Japan and of course, Mongolia. There are 14 students in Mongolia preparing for our competition.

We, as organizers, are going to do all we can to make sure that all our guests are going to enjoy their stay in Usti nad Orlici.
