Kocianova houslová soutěž napsala za dobu svého trvání nejeden silný, dojemný příběh. Zahraniční hvězdy se často na Kociance mihly pouze dvakrát: nejprve získaly vysněný titul, po roce pak hrály na laureátském koncertu. Naproti tomu domácí naděje zpravidla začínaly od první kategorie, postupně sbíraly dílčí úspěchy… a nejlepší z nich dokráčely na samý vrchol. A přesně to je případ letošního laureáta – čerstvě šestnáctiletého studenta Pražské konzervatoře Milana Kostelence. Postupně prošel, ještě coby žák liberecké ZUŠ, všemi kategoriemi a v každé z nich zabodoval. Když v roce 2017 zvítězil mezi nejmladšími, v rozhovoru pro zpravodaj na otázku, zda sní o laureátském titulu, pravil spontánně: „Ano, moc mě to láká!“
Žhavým adeptem na absolutního vítěze byl již loni… jenže to všechny účastníky „královské“ čtvrté kategorie zastínila Lana Zorjan ze Srbska. Včera ale v zaplněném sále už jméno svěřence Jiřího Fišera a Petra Matějáka zaznělo – dětský sen se stal skutečností! Radost pedagogů i rodičů a bouřlivé ovace, srovnatelné snad pouze s potleskem pro fenomenální korepetitorku Martinu Hájkovou. Milan Kostelenec zakončil své působení v soutěži triumfem!
65th Laureate Title Goes to Czech Contestant
Over the years, we have seen some touching, emotional stories here at Kocianka. Foreign competitors usually attended the competition twice; the first time when they won the laureate title, and then the following year, when they played the laureate concert. Our national violinists, on the other hand, usually started in the 1st category and pushed through over the years. And some of them reached the pinnacle. That is also the case of this year’s laureate, 16-year-old Prague Conservatory student – Milan Kostelenec. Starting as a mere student at Art School Liberec, he competed through all the categories and he reaped success in all of them. In 2017, he won the 1st category, in an interview later, he declared: “The idea of being a laureate is really enticing.”He already aspired for the title last year, however, the contestants from the 4th category were shadowed by the light of Lana Zorjan. Yesterday, the name of Jiří Fišer and Petr Matěják’s student was finally announced during the ceremony. A dream came true. Immense joy on the faces of the teachers and parents. A rapturous applause was comparable only with the one given to Martina Hájková, the competition repetiteur. Milan Kostelenec’s last time at the competition was an absolute triumph!
